高畠町は犬の宮猫の宮の側にそびえる千年杉「たこ杉」です。
地元では「子育ての杉」としても知られています。
よく見ると、なるほど海にいる「タコ」のような形をしていますが、実際に間近で見上げると、千年杉らしい堂々とした風格があります。
