鮭川を目の前に建つ、庭月観音。昔から満願の霊場として信仰が厚く、最上三十三観音打ち止めの寺として、多くの巡礼者が集まる。毎年8月18日には、鮭川で灯篭流しが行われ水面が橙色のやさしい光に包まれる。仏式では東日本一ともいわれる規模だ。
